The Way in Which Businesses Obtain & Use Personal Data is Changing
You may have heard about the upcoming changes to Data Protection being implemented on the 25th May 2018.
The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) aims to give individuals more control over their personal data.
We wanted to make you aware that we are putting all the preparations in place to make sure we comply with the changes and assure you that we will always make sure to protect any data we hold.
The new regulations mean that businesses are obliged to allow customers more control over who has their data and how it is used.
As part of the new regulations, if you do not wish for a company to hold your data, you can ask for it to be removed. There is also the possibility for companies to be fined if they pass information to third parties, without your permission.
Skelton Ltd hold personal information such as full name, registered trading address (if applicable), email and phone number, as well as information recorded on any communication or transactions you have had with us.
The data we hold is kept secure in a Customer Relationship Management system and only used to deliver and administer the services ordered. Skelton Ltd will not sell, distribute or lease your personal information to third parties unless we have your permission or are required by law to do so, however, we reserve the right to pass information onto external debt collection agencies if necessary.
Do You Need To Do Anything?
Our customers are not required to do anything. If, however, you wish to have your information removed from our system, simply email your request to firstname.lastname@example.org
